Game Age Representative Director Seeichi Mitsui mentioned in the press release that the PS4 has been well accepted by a wide array of age ranges, and has been off to a good start.

Normally dedicated game consoles have a radical spike in purchasing ratio between customers in their mid twenties and the thirties due to factors like price acceptance, but this is not the case with the PS4, that is showing a different and more regular spread across all ages.

Mitsui-san continued by saying that while visuals and audio are at the top of the satisfaction ranking, the controller and its features also rated high. Since it includes a lot of new features, that suggest a considerable level of satisfaction with the gameplay as well.
