Overnight, U.S. time, Sony sent out a press release stating their intention to restore full PlayStation Network functionality to all regions except for a few. This would include services like the PlayStation Store and the ability to redeem vouchers and codes (I can finally get my L.A. Noire goodies!). Unfortunately, not all regions will be able to take part in this joyous occasion.

According to the press release, Sony will fully restore "all PlayStation®Network services in the Americas, Europe/PAL territories and Asia, excluding Japan, Hong Kong, and South Korea by the end of this week." Unfortunately, it seems like Japan and a couple other Asian regions will still be without the store, but hopefully their functionality will be along soon. Note that "the end of this week" is Saturday June 4, 2011, at midnight. I wouldn't expect the store to be up before Friday, to be quite honest. But, it's good to know a full restoration is in store for us this week, isn't it?
