If you are a fan of PlayStation Move, you may want to pay attention. Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced they will be decommissioning the servers for a few, select games. These titles are mostly PlayStation 3 games that utilize the PlayStation Move, however one PS Vita title, and one PS4 title was hit as well.

Starting on July 1st, 2017, gamers will no longer be able to access the online features of these games:

PS3

  • High Velocity Bowling
  • Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest
  • Sports Champions
  • Sports Champions 2

PS Vita

  • Modnation Racers: Road Trip

PS4

  • Kill Strain

While this decision probably won't affect many, it's always sad to see game servers get shut down.

It is worth noting that Modnation Racers and High Velocity Bowling, have trophies that require you to play online. This means once the servers are offline, users will no longer be able to obtain a platnium trophy in these games, so if you want to get the platnium, you better hurry. On the other hand, Sony San Diego's Kill Strain is fully online.

High Velocity Bowling was released on PlayStation 3 on December 6th, 2007. Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest was released on the PlayStation 3 on November 15th, 2011. Sports Champions was released on the PS3 on September 17th, 2010. Sports Champions 2 was released on the PlayStation 3 on October 30th, 2012. Modnation Racers: Road Trip was released on the PlayStation Vita on February 22nd, 2012. Kill Strain was released on the PS4 on 4 July 12th, 2016.
