Sony Solidifies Future Use of the PSN Pass

There was some news yesterday from a Sony representative in Spain talking about how Uncharted 3 would use the PSN Pass system that was used in Resistance 3. This is a unique code that comes with new copies of the game, which you must input to play the multiplayer modes. Customers purchasing used copies will then have to purchase a new code for $10 from the PlayStation Store if they wish to play online.

It looks like this is going to be standard on all Sony-published multiplayer titles from here on out. A Sony Computer Entertainment America representative officially said today: “Online Pass will be incorporated into Uncharted 3 and future Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios (SCE WWS) games with online functionality. We will provide further information in the future.”

So, not only are they whoring Nathan Drake out in Subway promotions, but they’re going to get their money from used customers one way or the other.
