Sony Trademarks “PS Vita” in Europe, Officially Insane

on June 6, 2011 8:00 AM

It would appear that Sony has issued a trademark in Europe for the name “PlayStation Vita”, which as we mentioned before is rumored to be the final name for the NGP / PSP-2. As I stated in that article, “Vita” translates to “Life” so the little dual-nub machine will be called “PS Vita”, or maybe they’re trying to be sneaky and it will actually be “Playstation Life”. Or maybe this is just a brilliant portable edition of PlayStation Home. Either way I guess we’ll find out tonight at Sony’s E3 Conference which will be live-blogged by our amazing staff.
