This new tab is designed to provide help to consumers by allowing them to register their product, set up services, find easy links to Sony’s support pages on their home webpages, and most of all, provide support to questions customers may have.
From the looks of the “Get Help” page, it will work much like any other facebook page, where users can post threads and others can comment on it. The Sony Community will then be relying on you to share your expertise and answer the questions your peers have about products.This only makes sense: instead of a dedicated staff of support operators being hassled with nonsensical questions, having a forum provided through a social media giant like Facebook still allows users to get every little question answered, but at no real cost of money or time to Sony.
