Today the Japanese Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association reached out with a press release to announce that applications are open for the indie game area of the upcoming Tokyo Game Show.

This year we'll also see the return of Sense of Wonder Night, a celebration event that will have a number of indie developers exhibiting at the indie game area showcase their projects to the world.

We also get the announcement that Sony Interactive Entertainment will once again sponsor the independent developers that will exhibit in the indie game area. Not only they will co-sponsor Sense of Wonder Night, but they will cover the exhibition fees of those developers chosen by the Tokyo Game Show management office to present their games in the Indie Game Area Type A. As a result, they will be able to get a booth for free.

This sponsorship has become pretty much a tradition over the past few editions of Tokyo Game Show, starting in 2015, and continuing in 2016 and 2017.

Tokyo Game Show will be held at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba, near Tokyo, between September 20th and September 23rd. of course, you can expect DualShockers to be on the show floor, ready to report on all the relevant news.
