Sony Working on Re-Activating Archived Streams for Until Dawn; Says Feature “Was Unintentionally Disabled”

Earlier this week, eager PS4 owners were finally treated to the long-awaited Until Dawn, though many attempting to livestream and broadcast the game through Twitch encountered an issue of not being able to view archived streams – a problem which Sony says the company will now be fixing.

Twitch previously reported through Twitter that archived videos for streams of Until Dawn were being disabled by Sony, with the company responding in return with a statement that archived streams of Until Dawn will be returning to Twitch for its users, citing that the feature’s disabling seems to be a mere mistake instead of anything intentional.

Sony’s full statement on the matter detailed that a fix for archived streams of Until Dawn from the PS4’s built-in Twitch app will be coming soon:

“We are currently working on a fix that will enable archiving of Until Dawn Twitch streams as this feature was unintentionally disabled. We are humbled by the community reception of the game and are excited to see fans sharing experiences on Twitch and YouTube. We apologize for the inconvenience and will provide an update as soon as the issue has been resolved.”

Until Dawn is available now for PS4.
