Sony Interactive Entertainment VP of Third Party Relations and Developer Technology Group Adam Boyes just announced that he's leaving PlayStation.

After thanking the fans for the ride, he mentioned that they're in "great hands," as Sony has an "incredible team" at work in its development and publishing segment.

Boyes also clarified that he's going to work on the "Independent side."

Incidentally, he also received a nice sendoff from Xbox Division Head Phil Spencer, to which he responded in kind.

Boyes has been a very popular face among Sony Interactive Entertainment Executives in the past few years, but it'll be certainly interesting to see where he'll bring his talents next.

Of course we wholeheartedly wish him good luck in his upcoming endeavors, and can't wait to see what kind of games he'll contribute to making. While we wait to know more, I'll leave you with a classic Adam Boyes moment.
