Sony’s Shuhei Yoshida and Adam Boyes Congratulate Microsoft on Xbox One’s Launch

on November 22, 2013 12:09 AM

In a nice show of sportsmanship SCE Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida and Sony’s VP of Publisher & Developer Relations Adam Boyes extended their congratulations to several Microsoft executives over Twitter for the launch of the Xbox One, that was just released in the United States a few moments ago.

Microsoft Game Studios’ honcho Phil Spencer immediately responded in kind to both tweets:

Spencer1 Spencer2

A bit later Xbox’s Director of Product Planning Albert Penello responded as well:

This comes after multiple Microsoft executves, Spencer included, congratulated Sony on the PS4’s launch last week.

In a perfect world fans of both brands would learn something from this kind of sportsmanship. Of course I seriously doubt it’ll ever happen on a large scale, but it’s still a nice pipe dream for the cold winter nights.
