There have been rumors in the past about a possible Nintendo Switch version of SoulCalibur VI. At Gamescom in Cologne, Germany, DualShockers talked with Producer Motohiro Okubo, asking him if there is any truth to those rumors.

Okubo-san explained through a translator that a Switch version is not in development, but he did not close the door to the possibility for the future.

"At the moment there is no development for Switch at all. I understand that the Switch is a very successful hardware, and of course if there is a possibility, then it would be great to do it.

At the moment we're focusing on the October 19th launch, so we don't even have the time to think about that possibility. After the launch we'll think about the possibility."

There you have it, straight from the lion's mouth: rumors of a Nintendo Switch version were false, but not all hope it lost, and Bandai Namco might explore the possibility of a port after the game releases on its original platforms.
