Following Bandai Namco's announcement that Inferno will join the growing roster of playable characters in SoulCalibur VI, the publisher reached out with a press release including the first screenshots and artwork.

Inferno is the embodiment of Soul Edge's will, the evil fusion of the souls of the warriors that it absorbed. His goals are unknown, but they seem to include simply fighting, winning, and absorbing more souls.

Those souls are the fuel for the flames that engulf the character, who masters a deep knowledge of every fighting style.

You can check out screenshots below. If you want to see more, you can check out the latest reveal of Raphael, the previous one showing Cervantes (alongside his screenshots), the reveal of Tira and that of new character Azwel. Another recent trailer introduced the Libra of Soul story mode, that lets you create your own fighter.

You can also read some recent comments from Producer Motohiro Okubo on the past and current situation of the SoulCalibur franchise, and on why the upcoming game took so long to make. We also heard that one of the upcoming DLC characters could be a guest from another franchise.

SoulCalibur VI will launch for PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 19th, 2018. You can already pre-order the game on Amazon.
