Today, Bandai Namco Entertainment America published a new video for SoulCalibur VI, titled "Souls and Swords: The Rise of SoulCalibur".

I was a bit skeptical going into the video, as I initially thought it was an official version of those "evolution" Youtube videos. I've never found these very interesting, but I guess it's simply because I'm not the target audience, being born in the early '90s and being into games as far as I can remember.

It turns out this will retrace the history of the SoulCalibur franchise in multiple parts,  but in a very interesting way, focusing on the franchise's competitive scene. It includes interviews of players such as Kayane, Aris, and Bibulous.

As someone who doesn't know much about the SoulCalibur community and the feud between French and Americans players, it was quite an interesting watch. You can watch the video below. I'm looking forward to Part 2.

Bandai Namco Entertainment is still revealing information ahead of the game's imminent launch. Last week, we've got a new trailer introducing Inferno along with a new batch of screenshots.

SoulCalibur VI will launch on October 19th for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. If you haven't yet, you could pre-order it on Amazon.
