Crafting and Puzzles Get Some Love In Latest South Park: The Fractured But Whole Trailer
Fart cocktails, strip clubs, and new information for South Park: The Fractured But Whole was shown off today at Gamescom by developer Ubisoft.
Today at Gamescom, Ubisoft released new gameplay footage for South Park: The Fractured But Whole.
Although this is the same gameplay demo that was presented at E3 last June, this time around the footage features commentary on the title’s looting, crafting, and environmental puzzles by game director Jason Schroeder, and associate producer Kimberly Weigend.
The video (below) shows the minuscule warriors searching for the Peppermint Hippo, a particular “dancer,” and must obtain access to the DJ booth to do so. Thirsty for a gin and tonic they decide to whip up a nauseating fart-based cocktail for the DJ to lure him out of his station.
During the demo, Schroeder explains that as you craft items you will acquire crafting points, which will allow you to create more useful items in greater quantities.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole‘s crafting mechanic (as seen in the video) seems very simple to use. Additionally, the environmental puzzles that were featured in South Park: The Stick of Truth are back as well, which will provide players to manipulate scenes or break-down/move items to reach new areas and earn new gear or quest-related items.
South Park: The Fractured But Whole is set to be released on October 17th on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
