Space Channel 5 VR Gets a New and Funky Trailer at Sony's TGS Conference; Coming to PlayStation VR
Space Channel 5 VR showcased new footage at Sony's pre-TGS conference, showing the quirky rhythm game classic in a new dimension.
Driven by the funky beats of its music and the hp dance moves of Ulala and her dancing companions, Space Channel 5 has long been regarded as a cult classic in the dancing game genre, and now PlayStation VR owners will get to bust their moves in the VR version of the game coming in the near future.
During Sony’s pre-TGS LineUp Tour conference, a new trailer was released highlighting footage from Space Channel 5 VR: Kinda Funky News Flash!, which brings the cult classic rhythm dancing game to a new audience through the immersion of virtual reality.
For those that may not familiar with the series, Space Channel 5 first released on the Dreamcast back in December 1999, and since then the series’ wacky humor and groovy music have made it a cult classic in the years since.
That being said, I can only imagine what the game’s integration of VR will bring to the rhythm-dancing game, and the new trailer confirms alongside its previously-announced release on HTC Vive that the game will indeed be coming home through PlayStation VR.
Space Channel 5 VR is currently in development for PlayStation VR – for a closer look at the title, you can check out the new trailer below:
