Spider-Man: Miles Morales Commercial Has Arrived One Week Before Launch

Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales has received what looks to be one final piece of promotional material ahead of the game's PS5 and PS4 release.

November 5, 2020

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales is almost surely going to be the go-to game that many look to pick up alongside their PS5 consoles next week, and prior to that much-anticipated date, Sony has today made the wait until launch a bit easier.

A new commercial for Spider-Man: Miles Morales was released this morning which shows off the titular hero in action whooping up on some local thugs. The video, which doesn’t feature any actual gameplay, highlights Miles as he looks to move into the role of becoming Spider-Man. The trailer itself kicks off with Miles reminding himself of this fact before turning on some tunes and proceeding to lay the smackdown on some baddies.

When it comes to the commercial itself, it continues to be of the same high quality that we’ve come to expect from PlayStation over the years. Any time there is a major new first-party release, Sony seems to throw together a CGI trailer like this one. Previous standouts have included videos for God of WarDeath Stranding, and The Last of Us Part II to name a few. While commercials like this never make or break the game itself, it’s a cool trend that I hope Sony continues throughout the PS5 generation.

Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales will be launching alongside the PS5 next week on November 12 and will also be releasing on PS4. Stay tuned for our review of both Miles Morales and Sony’s next-gen hardware in the days after release.
