Since its announcement during Sony's "The Future of Gaming" event back in June, Spider-Man: Miles Morales has given off some serious Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse vibes. There's the hyper-stylised gameplay that's been shown, the music that's accompanied the trailers and of course, the game's protagonist, Miles.

Now, in an incredibly exciting new trailer, Sony has officially confirmed a crossover is happening between the two entities. As a launch day bonus for the game, players can don the cel-shaded suit made famous in the 2018 hit and live out their Spider-Verse fantasies.

While the suit is described as a "launch day bonus", late adopters need not worry. Insomniac further clarified that the suit is "earnable for everyone. Like #SpiderManPS4 The bonus is early unlocks, not exclusive content."

The downloadable outfit replicates that from Into the Spider-Verse perfectly, with the distinct black suit and red detailing. Not only does the suit look like that from the Sony film though, but it also performs like it. It's been designed to run at a lower framerate in order to mimic that from the movie and comes complete with comic book style callouts when fighting enemies.

In a recent reveal, it was also confirmed that a classic Spider-Man villain would be appearing in Miles Morales. The prowler, who appeared on an alternative cover-art for the game, was one of the main villains in Into the Spider-Verse, as he teamed up with Kingpin to take on the team of Spideys in the movie.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales recently went gold and will be available on both the PS4 and PS5 on November 12, the day Sony's next-gen console launches. Alongside the Standard Edition of the game, Insomniac will also be releasing an Ultimate Edition of Miles Morales. This edition comes with a remastered version of Marvel’s Spider-Man for the PS5.
