SPIKE VGAs to Unveil New Spider-Man Game, Teaser Drops Now

By John Colaw

December 7, 2011

For those of you unaware, there is currently a new Spider-Man “reboot” being worked on which places Andrew Garfield in the role of Peter Parker. The plans are to keep him a little younger and the movie will feature Emma Stone in the canon-appropriate role of Gwen Stacy rather than introducing her a few years down the line as some second shoe love interest.

Beenox has been developing a game of the movie for awhile (Shattered Dimensions, Edge of Time) and our first glimpse of their effort will be revealed at the Spike VGAs this weekend. A brief teaser has been released which is available after the break and I must say I’m willing to give it a shot.

It already looks better than Edge of Time by fixing my biggest complaint (namely sticking Spider-Man indoors for the entire game). Check out the teaser after the break.
