Publisher Playdius and developer Splashteam brought their 2D platformer Splasher to Steam back in February, and now the team has its sights set on a couple of new platforms. The game's PlayStation 4 and Xbox One release date has been announced.

Splasher is launching on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 26 to bring all of its splatforming to this generation of consoles.

In Splasher, you play as a purple-haired hero with a plan to save the Inkorp paint factory's workers, known as Splashers, from the evil machinations of the evil factory boss Le Docteur.

You will platform across 22 levels of ink-filled roofs and walls with your trusty splash cannon, which you can use to stick to painted surfaces and bounce off from. Beware of traps, though! The factory is full of them and some nasty security systems that will attempt to halt you at every turn. Perhaps you might even find a way to help your enemies and their traps to meet one another. In addition to new upgrades to your cannon, you will also need to rely on speed, skill, and strategy to succeed in Splasher.

Splasher is currently available for PC and Mac via Steam for $14.99. The game will launch for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on September 26. For more information on the game, you can visit its website or its Steam page.
