Splatoon 2’s weekly update is now available; the new update features two new weapons as well as a brand-new special included.

As of last night, players will have the chance to purchase the Forge Splattershot Pro from the Ammo Knights shop. Similar to previous weapon DLC drops this is a returning weapon from the first installment in the Splatoon series. Despite being a high-powered shooter, this weapon will drain your ink supply quickly.

On top of that, the Forge Splattershot Pro’s sub-weapon includes Suction Bombs and a brand-new ability named the Bubble Blower. When it is activated, players will be able to create a maximum of three large bubbles, which will explode with your team’s ink once they are shot down.

Speaking of Splatoon 2, the next Splatfest is underway. Unlike the previous competition, this Spletfest asks players which superpower they prefer – invisibility or flight. Despite Nintendo not providing additional details for the event, players can expect a similar approach from the previous Splatfest events (including the first for Splatoon 2, where Mayo ended up as the winner of the event. Several limited items included in the Splatfest include relevant ink colors, limited-time gear to obtain, and more.

You can check out some new screenshots of the new weapons below. Splatoon 2 is out now exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
