Nintendo Showcases Splatoon 2 Weapon Gameplay in Series of Videos

If you want a glimpse into the weapons of Splatoon 2 before the upcoming Global Testfire, today is your day. In a recent blog post from Squid Labs — Splatoon’s Tumblr dev blog — Nintendo took a deep-dive into the gameplay for Splatoon 2, showcasing footage of nine weapons.

While these weapons aren’t new for people who thoroughly enjoyed Splatoon on Wii U, it does showcase some more gameplay footage and how everything will look on Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo announced Splatoon 2’s Global Testfire (read as “Beta multiplayer session:) in mid-February.  The Testfire, which will feature The Reef and Musselforge Fitness stages, will be playable exclusively on Nintendo Switch from March 24 to March 26.

As for the main game, Splatoon 2 is slated for a vague 2017 release. Not much beyond that is known, but it will be coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch. Check out the bevy of short gameplay videos below:
