Nintendo Showcases New BMX Themed Splatoon 2 Stage
A week outside of Splatoon 2‘s Global Testfire (beta), Nintendo continues to delve more into what players can expect from the game. Only earlier today, the latest stage was revealed: Humpback Pump Track.
While it isn’t immediately clear from the name alone, the stage is a modified indoor BMX park with a ton of topographical variation. Not much is known about it besides the pictures in the gallery (below) however the walls and humps will undoubtedly make for trickier maneuvering and gameplay.
More details announced for Splatoon 2 this week include the new characterMurch and his “gear scrubbing” service, offering far more customization options when it comes to weapons. Also, it was discovered that Splatoon 2 — in its Global Testfire, at least — had a surprisingly low tick rate and memory usage, making playing multiplayer over mobile hotspots absurdly effective.
Splatoon 2 still doesn’t have a set launch date for Nintendo Switch, however it should be coming out sometime this summer. Check out the gallery below with all of the new pictures of Humpback Pump Track:
