Today Nintendo hosted the second day of its Switch-focused hands-on event at the Tokyo Big Sight venue in Japan, and showcased a nice chunk of gameplay of Splatoon 2.

You can see the new footage of the sequel of the beloved new IP at the bottom of the post, split in two videos.

The first video showcases the basics of the game's mechanics, giving an introduction on what it'll be all about, and showcasing controls with the Pro Controller.

The second video first introduces a bunch of guns, including the brand new Multi-Missile special weapon. After that, it shows a full match, which is of course super-colorful and hectic, as you would expect from a Splatoon game.

If you want to see more of the game, you can check out the first trailer, the first screenshots, and two more gameplay videos (one, two).

Splatoon 2 will release this summer exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
