During a Nintendo Treehouse livestream earlier today, the house of Mario and Zelda showcased fifteen minutes of gameplay of the sequel of its most beloved new IP, Splatoon 2.

The video showcases exactly what you would expect from a Splatoon game, including tons of colorful ink, cutesy graphics and quick gameplay.

This was certainly one of the most interesting titles revealed yesterday, showing once more that creating new IPs won't actually cause Nintendo's HQ to be hit by a stray meteor.

Unfortunately, it also caused us to have to bear with Tomas, who was very much in love with the idea that this game should have been called "Spla2n" and was very sad about the fact that it didn't come true. You're still in time, Nintendo.

Splatoon 2 will launch this summer, exclusively for Nintendo Switch.
