Since its launch last July, Splatoon 2 has become one of the Nintendo Switch's best-selling games, shipping over 4.91 million copies. Nintendo has continued to promote and support the game since launch with a variety of weapons, maps, and Splatfests. For those who are still looking to pick up the game, Nintendo has unveiled Splatoon 2 Starter Edition, which comes with some extra goodies for the same price as the base game.

Launching on March 16 for $59.99, Splatoon 2 Starter Edition packs in the game itself, a 100-page multiplayer focused Splatoon 2 strategy guide, and two sheets of Splatoon-themed stickers. Nintendo games usually take a while to drop in price, so you might as well get the most bang for your buck with Splatoon 2 Starter Edition due to all the extra stuff that it offers instead of purchasing the regular version of Splatoon 2 for the same price.

Recently, as part of this renewed Splatoon 2 push, Nintendo revealed that Pearl and Marina will be receiving amiibo of their own later this year. While their in-game function and release date are still unknown, we do know that they will be available exclusively through a two-pack that will cost $24.99. Fans of Splatoon-themed merchandise certainly have a lot to look forward to this year.
