With just a few days to go until the release of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, the anticipation for what is arguably the biggest Switch release of the holiday season is nearly upon us, and to celebrate the occasion (and the inclusion of the Inklings), Splatoon 2 will feature a competition between characters of its own.Nintendo has announced that Splatoon 2 will have a new Splatfest that is themed after Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, with the competition to begin on December 14, 2018 at 8pm.This time around, the Splatfest will divide players up into Team Heroes and Team Villains, which breaks down to some of the most iconic Nintendo characters such as the heroic Pit and Link, versus Nintendo baddies like King K. Rool, Ridley, and many more.Splatoon 2 is available now on Nintendo Switch (and can be picked up on Amazon), while Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will release for Nintendo Switch on December 7, 2018. There's still time to pre-order the game before its release, and you can do that over on Amazon as well.
