Last month Nintendo announced the second Splatfest event coming to Splatoon 2. The competition pit two very popular superpowers against one another, flight versus invisibility.
On the side of flight, we saw the inkling Pearl, and on the side of invisibility was everyone’s favorite Octoling, Marina. But it seems that even Marina’s fandom couldn’t save her this time, flight was the winner by a small margin.

In early August, Splatoon 2’s first Splatfest event pit mayonnaise against ketchup. While ketchup was the more popular choice amongst around 75 percent of players, mayonnaise still came out on top as the one true condiment. It seems I have a knack for choosing winners in Splatfest seeing as I’ve sided with both flight and mayonnaise.
If you don’t already know, Splatfest is an event unique to the Splatoon series that pits two things that are usually hot topics for debate against one another. Players battle it out in games of Turf War and are usually given a shirt to represent what team they’re on, but it’s always taken away at the end of the event. You also get rewarded with Super Sea Snails that can be used to purchase in-game bonuses based on how many points you scored for your team..
Splatoon 2 is available now exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
