After collaborating with Nintendo to produce art books for two of the publisher’s most beloved franchises, The Legend of Zelda and Fire Emblem, Dark Horse Comics has announced their newest offering: “The Art of Splatoon.”

Set to release June 13th, 2017 in North America and Europe and based on the Wii U game where players control squid-like characters called Inklings, the book will contain 320 “inkredible” pages detailing “2D and 3D character illustrations, maps, concept art, weapon and gear design, storyboards, sketches, hand-drawn comics, and more.” Dark Horse goes on to say that the art book will be “sure to please Inklings and humanoids alike.”

Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Penguin Random House currently have “The Art of Splatoon” available for pre-order at $39.99. Dark Horse’s latest offering, “The Art of Fire Emblem: Awakening”, released for the same price this past summer.

This isn’t the only Nintendo-related art book Dark Horse is releasing next year, as “The Legend of Zelda: Arts & Artifacts” is set to launch earlier on February 21st. Knowing the great attention to quality that Dark Horse provides with their books, fans are in for a great treat across the board.
