Splatoon’s Update 2.7.0 Brings 8 New Weapons; Check Out Half of the Arsenal
Fan-favorite Splatoon has an update and small maintenance coming April 12, 2016. And while we don’t know the full patch notes yet, the announcement on Splatoon’s official Tumblr page mentioned that eight new weapons would be making an appearance. Dubbed “Sheldon’s Picks Vol. 1, half of the weapons have been shared (seen in the pictures below).
Nightly players should be aware that like all Splatoon updates, there will be a short server maintenance from 7:50 – 9:00 PM Eastern. Splatoon is exclusively available on Wii U — check out the new weapon photos below.
The Wasabi version of the Splattershot will feature Splat Bombs and Inkstrike, instead of Burst Bomb and Bomb Rush.
Berry Splattershot Pro:
The Berry Splattershot Pro switches things up by swapping up Suction Bombs and Bomb Rush for the Splattershot Pro’s Splat Bomb and Inkstrike.
Next on the roster is the Fresh Squiffer, a variation of the Classic Squiffer, retooled to allow Suction Bombs and Kraken.
Last on the list is the Permanent Inkbrush which features Splat Bombs and Kraken.
