May 3, 2013

Keeping their word on the tease that was released a few days ago, Ubisoft has released an official trailer for the popular Splinter Cell multiplayer mode, Spies vs. Mercs. The mode was last seen in 2006’s Splinter Cell: Double Agent, and was absent in the most recent game in the series, 2007’s Splinter Cell: Conviction.

Spies are described in the trailer as being stealthy, agile, and deadly in shadows, while mercs are considered to be heavily armored, powerful, and lethal in light. A proverbial battle of yin versus yang, if you will. Numerous gadgets, perks, and maps are depicted in the trailer as well.

Splinter Cell Blacklist is being developed by Ubisoft Toronto and will be published by Ubisoft for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PC, and Wii U on August 20th, 22nd, and 23rd, 2013 in North America, Australia, and Europe, respectively. you can view the new trailer below.
