The new episode of Demon Slayer is out with overwhelming fight scenes and new surprises. One of the surprises was seeing Tanjiro's head mark changing its original form. Well, this got anime fans thinking if Tanjiro awakened his Slayer mark in the episode.
Episode 9 of Demon Slayer Entertainment District Arc was hard to handle. Inosuke was probably shown dead, Tengen lost his arm and an eye, Zenitsu and Tanjiro were equally worn out. At this rate, everyone was waiting to see how things would still work in favor of the Demon Slayers. Well, the new episode cleared all the doubts. But at the same time, some new questions are now in front of us.
One question that almost every fan is asking right now is, did we really see Tanjiro invoking his Hinokami Kagura powers and using sun breathing? Well, let's find out.

Tanjiro Gets Slayer Mark In The New Episode
Gyutaro calls Tanjiro a weakling plenty of time in the new episode. Despite getting a handful of chances to decapitate Gyutaro, Tanjiro could not succeed. This is because he didn't have the strength to kill an upper six demon.
But Gyutaro was shocked after seeing what his so-called weakling opponent Tanjiro holds inside of him. When Tanjiro realizes that it was his only chance to win this fight, he gives everything he has. And finally, to decapitate Gyutaro's head, he surpasses his limits and experiences the power of Hinokami Kagura for the first time.
In the show, Tanjiro's headmark starts to glow all of a sudden and take the shape of burning flames. And in the very next moment, Gyutaro's head is finally chopped off. This clearly indicates that Tanjiro Awakened his Slayer mark in the anime for the first time.
If we go back to Demon Slayer manga, we will find the incident of Tanjiro using his Sun Breathing technique for the first time was against Gyutaro.
It's important to note that this is just a start for Tanjiro. Later on, in the show, Tanjiro will fully awaken his mark and become a full-fledged Sun Breather Demon Slayer.
