Spotify has encourage users to explore and discover new music, artists, and experiences for years across desktop and mobile devices, with the service set to expand its reach on consoles with the app now available to Xbox One owners.

Microsoft (via Xbox’s Larry Hryb, aka “Major Nelson”) has announced that the Spotify streaming app is now available for Xbox One owners, allowing Xbox users to find new music or play their favorite tracks, artists, playlists, and more.

The app is free to download and use for all Xbox One owners, while those with an active Spotify Premium membership that log in will also be able to enjoy the service’s premium benefits, such as ad-free listening and higher quality audio.

The announcement isn’t too much of a surprise given that the announcement was leaked several times within the past week, but those that were looking forward to streaming music in the background on Xbox can now enjoy the same benefits that PlayStation owners have had since the app was first available on PS4 several years ago.

To download the Spotify app now on Xbox One, you can click here and head over to the app’s page on the Microsoft Store to grab it.
