Dragon Quest Builders was quite successful in Japan, mixing the popularity of both the Dragon Quest series and Minecraft. With a western release just over a month away, DualShockers asked Producer Noriyoshi Fujimoto whether  sequel is being considered.

The answer was quite encouraging:

“The game has been very popular in Japan and a lot of the fans do want a sequel, you can tell that everyone has been saying that. But while we are thinking about doing it, at this time I can’t really say whether or not it is going to happen, but it is definitely being considered. We are very happy that the fans are vocal about the game and the good reception that it has.”

Considering how charming Dragon Quest Builders in, count me interested. I’m aware that we still have to get the first, but a man can dream, can’t he?
