Square Enix has now revealed when their E3 2019 press conference will happen. The company joins Microsoft, Bethesda, PC Gamer, and Ubisoft as the four companies who have announced their press conference plans. Square Enix will be setting up shop on Monday, June 10 at 6 pm PT.

Interestingly, this means Square Enix is taking Sony's traditional slot. Readers will remember that Sony announced months ago that they will not be holding an E3 press conference this year. With their prime 6 pm slot open, Square Enix has jumped on it. Here's hoping they fill the space with some exciting new games. The two big games that I'm hoping will make an appearance are the Final Fantasy VII Remake as well as the Avengers project that is being worked on Tomb Raider developer Crystal Dynamics and Deus Ex developer Eidos Montreal.

The Final Fantasy VII Remake was announced at E3 in 2015 at Sony's press conference. Since then, the game has slowly been moving along. After E3 2018, Director Tetsuya Nomura revealed that the game was now in full production with his work on Kingdom Hearts III complete. With a year of active development under their belt, this could be the time to reveal some new footage of the long-awaited remake.

Not too much is known about the Avengers project. There was a short teaser trailer put out in 2017, but info on the game has been light since then. The project has been rumored to debut at most major trade shows since then. Could this finally be the time we get a good look at what the team is working on?

Outside of those two games, we can probably expect a number of surprises. Fans can tune in for themselves on Monday, June 10 at 6 pm PT.
