Square Enix Gives Kingdom Hearts the Spotlight at its Latest Stage Event

on March 25, 2012 10:49 AM

Kingdom Hearts is about to celebrate its ten year anniversary, and Square-Enix chose to honor Final Fantasy’s sibling series early at a recent stage event. At the event, attendees were treated to a lengthy video showing off footage of Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance, honoring the past by turning eyes toward the series’ future.

The video, displayed vertically across two screens à la the 3DS’ setup, shows some of Kingdom Hearts’ most memorable heroes and villains (Axel gets a particularly vociferous cheer from the audience) doing what they do best: floating around in dreamspace, brandishing keyblades dexterously enough to make Inigo Montoya jealous, and occasionally laughing and hugging each other.  Check out the good times after the break!

He enjoys games with a strong emphasis on story, which typically fall into the RPG, Action/Adventure, or Horror genres, though he also has a soft spot for fighting games and has been known, when feeling saucy, to shred on some Guitar Hero or Rock Band.
