A new challenger has arrived in the E3 2018 conference scene and it's none other than Square Enix. The publishing giant announced this morning that they would be playing a larger role at E3 next month via a new video showcase that will be hosted on Monday, June 11 at 10 AM PDT/1 PM EDT. Much like a Nintendo Direct, this event will be entirely streamed over the Internet through major services like Twitch, YouTube, and Mixer, so those in attendance of E3 in Los Angeles won't be able to physically attend the showcase.Of course, the big question on everyone's mind is just what will Square Enix be showing? Currently, Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Kingdom Hearts III are among the biggest games that will be released from the publisher this year, so it seems like a good bet we'll see both of these titles. Kingdom Hearts III specifically still has yet to receive a release date despite being slated for 2018.Other noteworthy titles that Square Enix has in the pipeline include Octopath Traveler, Final Fantasy VII Remake, and the previously announced The Avengers Project. All of these and many others are just some of the possible games that Square could opt to highlight in this showcase. No matter what ends up being shown off, we won't have to wait too long to find out. E3 2018 is only about one month away at this point and will take place from June 12 to 14 in Los Angeles, California.
