Today, on Sony Interactive Entertainment's PlayStation Lineup Tour, preceding Tokyo Game Show 2018, Square Enix revealed the first trailer for the upcoming RPG by Studio Istolia, currently code-named Project Prelude Rune. The trailer also reveals the game will release on PS4.

Using cell-shading like graphics, the trailer shows a lightly armored, sword-wielding character following a forest path in a fantasy themed world. He then reaches the top of a mountain, revealing the beautiful horizon.

You can watch the teaser trailer below.

Project Prelude Rune was previously announced in 2017 by Square Enix and is developped by Studio Istolia. Studio Istolia and Project Prelude Rune are directed by Hideo Baba, former Producer of the Tales of series at Bandai Namco. In an interview following the initial announcement of the game, Hideo Baba had already affirmed his desire to make a current-gen console RPG, and to make it so players outside Japan can access it as well.

Project Prelude Rune is scheduled to launch for PS4. No release date has been communicated as of now.
