Square Enix Releases First Dragon Quest VII 3DS Screens

Square Enix has released the first batch of screenshots showing off their upcoming Dragon Quest VII re-release for the Nintendo 3DS. This re-release will come equipped with improved visuals, StreetPass functions, and more new features. They’ve also removed random battles, and you can now see enemies on the world map, allowing you to carefully pick and choose your fights. I’ve never played Dragon Quest VII, but I know from experience that the older JRPGs can be really excessive with the random encounters.

Dragon Quest VII: Warriors of Eden will be available for the 3DS in Japan on February 7th, 2013.
