Square Enix Releases New Murdered: Soul Suspect Trailer: Can You Solve Your Own Murder?

There hasn’t been much of any information about Square Enix’s newest game, Murdered: Soul Suspect , but that changes today. With a new teaser trailer–which you can see below–we can see that this will be some kind of mystery game, centered around one quote:

The Hardest Murder to Solve Is Your Own

The character in the trailer seems to be the “murdered” person in question, a dead detective–now a ghost–who has to figure out how he was killed.

Certainly this leaves us with new questions: how will this game play? Like the sandbox world L.A. Noire, or like the poltergeist-assisted protagonist of Jodie in the upcoming Beyond: Two Souls? If the detective is the victim, who does the title’s “soul suspect” refer to?

According to the game’s very spartan website, the game will be coming to the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC, though when, we don’t know. And it’s interesting to see yet another new IP being released so late in this generation (unless it comes out as a dual-generation release…). Let us know what you think in the comments below, and stay tuned to DualShockers.com.
