Square Enix and V-Jump revealed new information on the Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai new anime and games projects on May 27 via a live stream. May 27 is Dragon Quest day, celebrating the release anniversary of the first Dragon Quest in 1986. The stream first focused on the new anime, and we covered the details in another article. When the game part of the stream started, Yuji Horii explained three Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai games will be announced. All three games are part of the "Dragon Quest: Adventure of Dai Game Project". The trailers and details for each game are below.

The stream featured Dragon Quest's Yuji Horii, Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai writer Riku Sanjo, and the newly revealed cast. Square Enix and Dragon Quest Director Ryutaro Ichimura was present too.

The first game revealed was Dragon Quest Dai no Daibouken Tamashii no Kizuna, coming to iOS and Android in 2021. The game is developed by Dena. More info on the game will be coming in Fall 2020, around when the anime starts in October 2020.

The second game announced was Dragon Quest Dai no Daibouken Xross Blade, coming to arcade after Fall 2020. It's pronounced Cross Blade. It's a card battle based game. The game is developed by TakaraTomy Arts, the company behind popular arcade games Pretty Rhythm, PriPara and Prichan, part of the Pretty Series franchise. Dai's new seiyuu Atsumi Tanezaki played the game live during the stream for around ten minutes. You can watch that at the 1:37:00 timestamp linked below:

Lastly, here's the third game:

The third and final game was Infinity Strash Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai. It's an action RPG. No platforms were revealed besides that it's coming to consoles in 2021. Some screenshots and a trailer were shown too. Infinity Strash will take a "lot of time to complete" according to Square Enix' Ryutaro Ichimura and it'll be the last game of the three to release. An official site for Infinity Strash Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai was opened as well.

More information on all three games will be coming on a later date via the Dragon Quest games Japanese official Twitter.

As the game part ended, Yuji Horii said each of the three games have their own appeal so you should look forward to all three. Ryutaro Ichimura from Square Enix also explained why Square Enix decided to make three different games. It's mainly to adapt to the times: The mobile game was decided as many players are now used to free to play games. The arcade game aims for families, with parents who grew up with the manga playing it with their children and make new memories. And the console game is a straight forward answer to the fans' expectations when it comes to a Dai no Daibouken game.
