Square Enix Starts Recruiting Alpha Testers for Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn

The alpha test of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn  (that got a new fresh gameplay trailer and screenshots as reported earlier by Abigail) is scheduled to begin soon, and Square Enix is currently recruiting perspective alpha testers for the new incarnation of the Final Fantasy MMORPG.

Candidates are required to have an active Final Fantasy XIV account, must at least be 18, have a computer that meets the hardware requirements of the new client, and must be able to sumit feedback and bug reports in Japanese, English, French or German.

The alpha test will be limited to the PC version of the game only, while the beta test that will be announced at a later date will include the PS3 version as well.

The minimum hardware requirements for the alpha client are as the following:

OS Windows® XP 32bit, Windows® Vista 32/64bit, Windows® 7 32/64 bit
CPU Intel® Core™2 Duo
Memory 2GB
Available space on hard disk/SSD 20GB
Graphics card NVIDIA® Geforce® 8800 Series
Screen resolution 1280×720
Connection type ADSL
Connection speed 1.5Mbps


The recommended specs are definitely more demanding:
