RMT (Real Money Trading) advertisers, nicknamed "gilsellers" on Final Fantasy MMORPGs because the coin there is called "gil" are a serious problem. Not only they annoy the hell out of you with tells, shouts and similar pitches, but they also try their hardest to phish or hack accounts in order to use them for their dirty business.

Square Enix always had a rather harsh stance against them, and now that they're starting to be a problem in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn as well, the development team is taking steps. Today they announced the banning of 518 RMT accounts, and encouraged players to blacklist any gilseller they see after reporting them via [System Menu] -> [Support Desk] -> [Contact Us] -> [Report Cheating].

The game could really use a "right click on name -> report" feature and a similar one for blacklist, mind you, but for now we'll have to do it the long way. And it's indeed quite needed, because they're getting very aggressive. This morning I saw a couple shouting  their grating advertisement every single second and completely saturating the area chat, not to mention the tells right after logging in. Quite an annoyance indeed. Thank goodness for the blacklist option.

If you're wondering who the dude at the top of the post is, he's probably the most annoying jerk you'll meet in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn. Exactly like your average gilseller.
