Square Enix’s Stay Home and Play Bundle Gives You 4 Great JRPGs for Charity

If you're cooped up at home, Stay Home and Play Bundle from Square Enix gives you hundreds of hours of JRPG goodness to support charity.

With the coronavirus pandemic continuing to upend daily life in fundamental ways, lockdowns and stay-at-home orders have (for now) become the new normal. While this had led to some tough circumstances, several companies in the video games industry are helping to make the time spent at home a little easier with free games and discount offers. This includes a new bundle from Square Enix (as part of its Stay Home and Play campaign) that will help make the time pass more quickly if you happen to be a fan of JRPGs.

Over on Steam, Square Enix’s Stay Home and Play Bundle is available now and offers four of the company’s acclaimed JRPGs for just under $50. The bundle includes Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive AgeFinal Fantasy XII: The Zodiac AgeChrono Trigger, and Oninaki, giving you hundreds of hours of JRPGs to enjoy for a good cause. According to Square Enix, 100% of the proceeds from purchases of the bundle will be donated towards food banks and charities across North America and Europe to help with COVID-19 relief efforts.

Having played most of these games myself, the bundle is definitely a great value filled with some exceptional JRPGs. Dragon Quest XI alone is a hefty adventure that will take you well over 100 hours to finish, and it’s an incredible game in its own right. Likewise, this bundle also gives you the chance to catch up on a remastered take on Final Fantasy XII, a recent action-RPG from the makers of I Am Setsuna, and the chance to experience the all-time classic Chrono Trigger, if you haven’t played it before.

The bundle itself will be available until tomorrow (May 6) at 10am PT, so if you’re looking to catch up with some games while staying safe and at home, it’s absolutely worth a look while supporting charity efforts in the middle of the pandemic. You can head over to the Steam store page for the bundle right here.
