Square Enix’s Akitoshi Kawazu revealed some insightful news on his Twitter account, mainly on the SaGa‘s future releases:

For the SaGa 25th anniversary, we did various activities for the past two years. Thank you every fans for the support. Activities for the 25th anniversary will end today. Info on new game, remake, port, every each of the SaGa work will continue to be deliver from now on. Thank you so much!

Certainly some excellent news from long-time fans of the series.

SaGa is a science-fiction JRPG series that was first released in 1989 on the Game Boy (released in the US as Final Fantasy Legends). The series is notable for its emphasis on open world exploration, non-linear branching plots and occasionally unconventional gameplay.
