One of the most iconic ultimate weapons in the Final Fantasy series is Excalibur, but the sword hasn't yet appeared in Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, with Curtana used as the relic blade for Paladins.

Apparently, though, Square Enix is planning on implementing the sword, as shown on today's developer's blog post.

The name wasn't fully mentioned, hidden by a pun in the English version of the post, and censored in the Japanese version, but the identity of the sword is pretty obvious.

Below you can see a couple pictures. There was no mention on when and where we'll be able to get the sword for ourselves, but it might be part of the upcoming Heavensward expansion.
