Square Enix Will Livestream Its E3 Outing

May 23, 2013

Remember the big news teased by the Square Enix Events twitter account? It wasn’t a new game but, as I suspected, event-related information.

This year the Japanese publisher will be out in full force at E3, and will broadcast live for everyone to enjoy. The program, dubbed Square Enix Presents, will offer a “diverse and user-friendly range of programming aimed at sharing unique perspectives with Square Enix’s global audience” form June the 11th to the 13th.

Square Enix Japan Marketing Director Akio Oofuji accompanied the  press release with a statement:

SQUARE ENIX will be showcasing a terrific lineup of games this E3 Expo. Square Enix Presents is a new way we can engage on a more meaningful and personal level with our community and fans and share with them the spectacle and excitement of E3.

Coverage will be done through the following channels:

While a full program schedule is still pending, and we don’t know yet which personalities will be featured, we already know that Final Fantasy XIV Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida will be there, and the upcoming MMORPG will be heavily featured, while during the PS4 presentation a new Final Fantasy title for Sony’s next gen console was also hinted at.

Looks like Square Enix is going to bring out the heavy guns this time around. Is your body ready?

Giuseppe Nelva

Hailing from sunny (not as much as people think) Italy and long standing gamer since the age of Mattel Intellivision and Sinclair ZX Spectrum. Definitely a multi-platform gamer, he still holds the old dear PC nearest to his heart, while not disregarding any console on the market. RPGs (of any nationality) and MMORPGs are his daily bread, but he enjoys almost every other genre, prominently racing simulators, action and sandbox games. He is also one of the few surviving fans of the flight simulator genre on Earth.
