Square Enix’s “Secret” Game Gets One More Tease: “STAR” Was Actually “START;” Reveal Tomorrow

on April 13, 2015 10:55 PM

A few days ago Square Enix opened a teaser website for a “secret” game. Yesterday, they increased the level of teasing by adding more letters and forming the word “STAR.” Today, they pushed it one step further.

Unfortunately, as we mentioned yesterday, the word isn’t “Star,” but “Start.” The date has now been completed, and it’s 2015/04/15 – tomorrow.

What is going to be revealed tomorrow? We still don’t know, but the fact that the unveiled word isn’t “Star” doesn’t mean this can’t be a new Star Ocean like many are hoping. The planet theme could suggest that, but there’s no way to tell, for now.

While I know that I might very well regret this, it’s hard not to notice that compared to the picture that was on the site yesterday, a star is rising over the edge of the planet.

This kind of imagery is a pretty common theme in Star Ocean covers and logos, as you can see below.

Should we hold some lingering hope, or just keep our expectations low to avoid a very possible disappointment? Personally, I’m conflicted, but your mileage may vary on this.
