Stacking Finally Has a Release Date: Feb 8th on PSN, 9th on XBLA

Doublefine’s next entry into the downloadable market finally has a date.  Stacking drops on February 8th on the PSN and the very next day for XBLA, and I couldn’t be more pleased.  The action-adventure game puts you in control of one of those Russian stacking dolls in a world full of dolls, and from what I’ve seen and heard of it, it looks like it might be even better than their previous amazingness, Costume Quest.

It’ll be available for the same price as Costume Quest, $15, or 1200 Microsoft Points. Honestly, I cannot freaking wait for this.  Doublefine’s shown that they adapt to the downloadable market extremely well, and they have some original, ambitious ideas for their games.

Allen is an utter whore of a gamer; he's completely open-minded to all games, be they AAA blockbusters or $5 casual children's games. His focus is on indie games specifically, valuing gameplay and ingenuity over sparkly visuals and ridiculous gimmicks. When he's not geeking out over the newest art game, he's out toning his sexy, sculpted shoulders while surfing epic 1.5ft waves, or having a good time with local, high-gravity microbrews.
