Have you ever wanted to play Star Citizen but not commit to purchasing a starter pack? Well now is your chance. Cloud Imperium Games announced its space sim will have a "Free Fly" week to celebrate Invictus Launch Week.

From May 22 to June 1, you will be able to check out a selection of ships to test fly each day in Star Citizen. There will be plenty of variety as multiple manufacturers will have ships available to test. If you have been interested in checking out the game, but don't want to commit to spending a ton of money on a ship, now is a good chance as you won't need to purchase one of the many ships available.

In order to partake in the "Free Fly" event, you will need to make your way to the Bevic Convention Center on ArcCorp. After your wake in the Adira Falls habitation complex, go downstairs and take the elevator down to the ground floor. Once on the ground floor, head outside into the square and follow the signs for ArcCorp Plaza. You will then cross the plaza and head to the CityFlight Transit station and go to the Convention Center platform. Get in the shuttle and you will be getting off at the first stop. You will then follow signs for Invictus Launch Week and take an elevator down to the convention center.

If you are traveling from somewhere else, you can quantum travel to ArcCorp and head to Area 18. You can check out Roberts Space Industries' handy guide if you get lost.

Personally, I have never played Star Citizen but it is something I always found to be intriguing. The idea of this giant space sim is definitely up my alley, but the barrier of entry was a bit too much for me. This seems like a solid way to check out the game without committing to it.
