Star Citizen Gets Vanduul Fighter Concept Art, Pledges Pass the $740,000 Mark

The beautiful Star Citizen trailer we saw last week included an iconic Vanduul fighter very much reminiscent of Wing Commander‘s Dralthi. Today Cloud Imperium Games released some lovely concept art of the same fighter to grant us a closer look at it.

Considering that one of the features of Star Citizen is the extremely detailed visual modeling, that includes full visibility of cockpits from outside a craft, we can see why they put so much effort into designing the HUD for an enemy fighter (that you can see above). This, of course, unless they’re going to surprise us and make it available to players. Given the sandbox nature of the game, it wouldn’t be surprising at all.

Below you can see the exterior of the ship. At the moment of this writing the game has already raised $745,498 (from 7,925 pledges) in only five days, and with twentyfive to go before the crowdfunding effort ends, the goal of $2,000,000 seems to be definitely in reach.
